Energy In Motion

All physical activity programs are "as you are."  This means that it is not necessary to change out of your work clothes to take this class. In other words, the sweat factor is low! It is recommended, however, that you wear comfortable shoes. Please contact Allyson at ext. 7779 or wallbridga1@nku.edu to register.

Leslie Sansone Indoor Walking

  1. Thursdays at 12:30 in UC Cafeteria.
  2. Improve muscle tone, balance, strength, and overall energy by participating in these moderately paced 30 minute walking videos. Appropriate for all levels of fitness.

20-Minute Tone Up 

  • Mondays at 12:15 p.m. in UC Cafeteria.
  • How can you benefit from a 20 minute tone up?  In just 20 minutes, twice a week, you can effectively strengthen your major muscle groups. Strength training not only tones your muscles, but also helps to rev up your metabolism and fortify your bones!  Don't miss out on this opportunity to do your body good!

Yoga As You Are (YAYA)

  • Mondays at 11: 45 a.m. in UC Cafeteria.
  •  The original "as you are" physical activity session. This class is designed to give you the opportunity to stretch and rejuvenate with a 30-minute gentle yoga session. You won't get on the floor, so it's not necessary to bring a mat or change into other clothes.

Healthy Monday
You have 52 days a year to start an exercise program! The Monday Mile is a simple concept to encourage you to start your week with an energizing one-mile walk.. You can do a Monday Mile every Monday! 
  • Did you know that 4 times around Loch Norse (in a figure-eight fashion, crossing the bridge in the middle) is one mile!

Another way to get active on campus

The Campus Recreation Center is located on the first floor of the Albright Health Center.

It is a state-of-the-art fitness facility that includes a cardio theater, Cybex Circuit Training, free weights, walking track and a full schedule of group fitness classes.
